How it works

Found a town, form a nation

A town costs 450 coins in most of the world, 600 in North America and East Asia and 800 in Europe, then a daily upkeep from the town bank. Nobody outside your town can break a block inside your claim. Invite residents, then found a nation for 6,000 coins.

Settle the real Earth

The map is Earth at 1:500, 73,728 by 36,864 blocks, wrapping east to west. 50 tree species grow only where they grow on Earth: baobabs across the Sahel, redwoods in California, ginkgo in China. Monsters get harder the further you are from any city. No teleports once you arrive, so distance counts. Walk, sail or cut through the Nether.

Mount Fuji in autumn

Mine gold, trade across continents

Coins come from the ground. The Mint pays 8 coins for each raw gold you dig, city Merchants pay for goods you carry in, and voting pays a little once it is on. Nothing in the store touches coins. Ore refreshes every 8 hours in 23 mining districts at real mine sites, Witwatersrand and Kiruna among them, 7 of them hidden until someone finds them. 59 trade goods sell for more the further they travel, so where you settle decides what you can sell.

Fight sieges, keep your town

Wars happen through sieges. You start one on a Friday, between 12:00 and 18:00 UK, and it is fought that weekend in six one-hour battles, at 18:00 and 20:00 UK on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with protections back on in between. The winner takes plunder and the land; the losing town is still standing. A player kill takes a heart; the floor is 5, so nobody is out for good.

Choose your capital

You pick a region once at the arrival hub and step through its gate. Each capital has a Mint, a map hall and short roads out. Cities are safe: no PvP, no building.

Questions

What is TrippySMP?

An Earth-map Minecraft server at 1:500 scale running Towny and SiegeWar. You found a town, form a nation with other towns and fight sieges for plunder and land.

What is the server IP?

play.trippysmp.com

Who can play?

Anyone aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission before buying anything once the store opens.

How long is a season?

Four months. The start date is announced in Discord before the season begins, and when it ends everyone starts level again.

Java or Bedrock?

Java Edition only. 26.2 and 26.3 are supported and older Java versions also connect. Bedrock is not supported.

Can my town be destroyed?

No. A siege decides who takes plunder and who holds the land, and the blocks stay. A new town cannot be sieged for 30 days.

Is PvP on inside towns?

Not unless the mayor turns it on with /t toggle pvp. A new town starts with PvP off, and a plot owner can turn it on for their own plot. Arena plots are always PvP, and during a siege battle it is on in the siege zone whatever the town has set. PvP is on in the wilderness and off in the five cities.

Is it pay to win?

No. The store is not open yet. When it opens it will sell ranks, gems and cosmetics: nothing that helps in a fight or a siege, and nothing that touches coins. Crate keys are never sold. You earn them in game.

Why won't the Mint take my gold ingots?

The Mint buys raw gold only. Gold farms in the Nether make endless ingots and nuggets. Raw gold only comes from mining, so coins come from digging, not farms. Ingots, nuggets and gold blocks are for crafting. If you put raw gold in a furnace, chat warns you once.

How much gold can I sell each day?

64 raw gold a day, topped up at UK midnight. New players start with 64. Skipped days save up for a week, to 448 at most. Skip 3 days and on day 4 you can sell 256.

How do I buy and sell with other players?

/trade is a safe swap within 10 blocks. Browse and list on /ah anywhere, but buy within 48 blocks of a capital's centre. Purchases wait in /ah purchased, to collect anywhere. Raw gold and trade goods can only be listed in a capital. 10 listings each, 5% tax per sale.

Are there teleports?

Not once you have arrived: no /tpa, /home or /spawn, and town and nation spawns are off. The hub gate places you in your capital once. Paris to Delhi is 15,794 blocks, about 47 minutes sprinting, and goods pay more at the far end of a trip like that.

Found one of the first towns

The first towns founded will be the first towns on the map. A season lasts four months. The start date is announced in Discord, and when the season ends everyone starts level again.
